Death Of 92-Year-Old Doctor Moore Who Lived At Taupo
(P.A.) Auckland, June 7. Dr. Thomas Char es Moore, of Taupo, has died at ine age of 92, He continued his medical practice until a month ago, and in November, 1946, was successful in obtaining a driver’s licence at the age of 90. This was thought to be a record for New Zealand. He had previously held a licence, but not for several years, and had to produce a doctor’s certificate of heath before gaining a renewal front a Government traffic inspector. Dr. Moore arrived at Napier from Britain in 1885. He lived and practised there until soon after the earthquake of 1031, when he left for Taupo.
