Brookby Song Again Wins G.N. Steeples

(P.A.) Auckland, June 9. The Auckland Racing Club’s winter meeting was continued today in fine ’ weather before an attendance of 51,- 1 ! 000. The track was dead. The totalisator handled £270.679 10s, against £273,506 on the second day last year. The investments for two days total £514,446 10s, against £449,604 10s. Taking the lead just oefore the completion of the first round, Erookby Song, last year’s winner, scored an eight lengths victory in the Great Northern Steeplechase from Town Survey, with Abbey Lu a length away, third.
