Amended Rules On Saturday Next

SCHOOLBOY RUGBY TO START. Next Saturday the Wanganui Rugby Union, in accord with the instructions of the parent body, the New Zealand Rugby Union, will bring into force the recently amended rules- The one which will have greatest interest for the public will be that which reduces the value of a goal dropkicked from the field of play from four to three points. Other rules nave already been detailed in press reports.

To encourage Rugby in primary schools, a competition for schoolboys has been arranged for Saturday mornings. This is for boys not attached to clubs or teams, and will start at 9 o’clock under the jurisdiction of the union. It is hoped that all boys who feel they ought to be playing Rugby will attend at Spriggens Park next Saturday morning.
