Waitotara Defeat Rangitatau 9-3 At Rugby League
Waitotara defeated Rangitautau by 9 points to 3 in a Rugby League match at Waitotara on Saturday. Heavy rain made the ball difficult to hand.e and kept the scoring down. Had Rangitautau fielded a full team of 13, instead of only ten players, the result might have been different. S. Mick and J. H. Davis were outstanding in the Waitotara backline, West Te Awhe and Enright being the best forwards. Ran.gitautau’s best baecks were L. Davis, H. McConachy, and a 15-year-old three-quarter of great promise, M. Hokapara. E. Hurley, L. Hurey and A. McConachy excelled in the pack. Tries for Waitotara were scored by S. Mick (2) and J. Sullivan, none being converted. E. Hurley scored an unconverted try for Rangitautau.
