Death Of Southland Trotting Breeder
P-A ) Invercargill, May 24 The death occurred in Invercargill today of the trotting owner and breeder, Mr. F. W. McGill, aged 78. Born in Dunedin, he came to Invercargill at an early age and was in the grocery business for more than 50 years. His colours first became prominent through the Happy Voyage mare, Rocks Ahead, later successful at the stud, producing Navigate, Rendezvous. and Barrier Reef.
