Money Stolen From Mayor While Asleep
(P.A.) Auckland, May 24 While the Mayor of Mount Eden (Mr. R. J. Mills) was asleep early on Saturday morning! a burglar entered his home behind his grocery store in Dominion Road and stole about £307 in bank notes from a safe without awakening the occupants. It is stated that the burglar left a sum almost equal to the sum stolen.
