FOUR WINTER RACE MEETINGS WILL BE STAGED TODAY
Winter racing will get well into its stride today with race meetings at four centres and two trotting fixtures scheduled. At Hawera the Egmont Racing Club’s meeting will conclude, with the Adamson Steeplechase and the Davidson Handicap as feature events. The Waikato Racing Club will open a three-day winter fixture, at which the most important jumping race will be the £2OOO Waikato Steeplechase next Saturday. The Woodville meeting today will be followed in turn by Otaki, Foxtor ami Levin, leading up to the two-day Wanganui fixture. Jn the -South Island there will be racing at Ashburton, and the trotting- fixtures will be at Auckland and Oamaru.
