Reported Discovery By Wife Of Husband Believed Lost In War
Recd. 9.40 pm. Adelaide, April 11 A woman who boarded an Adelaide tram last week identified a man sitting next her as her husband, whom st.e believed had been killed in the war She fainted with shock. Her husband, who had been suffering from amnesia because of war injuries, recovered his memory when he saw his wife. The story became known when a woman advertised in a suburban newspaper for a purse containing jewellery and £llO which fell off her lap when she fainted. The man who returned the purse was told of the reunion, and details were later checked by the editor of the newspaper, who refuses to divulge the names.
