KARARIKI PLAYS LOCAL CLUB AT CRICKET. (0.C.) Sanson, Jan. 29. Sanson and Kakariki Cricket Clubs met in a match at the week-end the local club winning a one innings game by a margin of 40 runs, Sanson had first use of the wicket and compiled 174 due mainly to an aggressive partnership by K. A quarterly meeting of the local branch of the R.S.A. was held on Monday last, Mr. K. C. Bailey presiding over a small attendance. The chairman’s quarterly report and a summary of the branch’s finances were read and adopted. The committee’s action in cancelling two proposed social functions on account of the epidemic was endorsed. Before closing the meeting, the chairman informed members that he had been in office for three years and intimated that he would not be seeking re-elec-tion at the next annual general meeting.
