Miss C. Beaven With C.O.R.S.O. In China

In the latest monthly bulletin from the New Zealand C.0.R.5.0. Committee is an extract from a letter written by Miss Constance Beaven, of Wanganui, who left for China In November as drug purchasing officer for the International Relief Committee, with headquarters at Shanghai. Dated December 1, the letter states: "One of the teachers at Tai Po, where he saw our C.0.R.5.0. hat badges, introduced vs to everyone as ‘the people who sent us the wool.' I was thrilled at the number of fine people I met. Most of them had been through internment during the war, or had carried on behind the retreating Chinese lines. It has created a deep underlying bond of fellowship among them, and I feel a great admiration for the way in which they are back to their tasks again.”
