The master who taught members of the team is also to be sent a letter of appreciation. Mr. N. Bromiley, who moved the motion, said that the Marton District High School was nowhere near as large as many of the schools aganist which it had competed. It was pleasing to the a district high school doing well in the field of sport as well as academically. This school had also done well in the collection of national savings. “This goes to show the type of school and pupil we have in our west ward,” commented Mr. E. R. Hodge, who seconded the motion. “I think it was a very fine effort and we should also congratulate the master who gav e up so much time to the training of the boys.
