Recd. 11.30 p.m. Melbourne, Jan. 26 Adrian Quist won the Australian singles title at Kooyong today when he beat John Bromwich 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, 2-6, 6-3. The in ■at ch was ployed in extreme heat and was mainly a baseline duel. Quist’s greater steadiness was the deciding factor.
