JEWS PURCHASE 21 BRITISH PLANES
Recd. 6 p.m. London, Jan. 21 The Ministry of Supply has ordered a full inquiry into the Jewish Agency’s purchase of 21 surplus British Auster planes, says the “Daily Telegraph.” The Ministry has been informed that the planes cannot be recovered. They were handed over at an R.A.F. station at Aqir on December 21 and taken by road under armed escort to the Tel Aviv c ? vil airport, where I the Haganah already had two planes. •
