MORE THAN 200 PEOPLE KILLED, 400 INJURED . ~ Shanghai, Dec. 28 A fire disaster at Hankow yesterday involved six passenger ships and resulted tn over 200 persons being killed and 400 seriously injured. Many others are reported to have lost their lives by drowning. Seventy-eight bodies have so far been recovered. The holocaust had its origin when fire broke out aboard the Chinese river steamer Vanishing and caused panic among 700 passengers, most of whom plunged into the icy Yangste River. The fire was put out only after it had spread to six other steamers and more than a dozen junks.
