Recd. 7.30 p.m. Sydney, Dec. 28. The Carrington Stakes at Randwick yesterday went to Star Vite in a photo-finish from Beau Robert and Mine Host. The last-named led until the last few strides when the other horses came through on the outside. Results:— Carrington Stakes.—Star Vite 7.11 (Doon) 1; Beau Robert 7.6 (Cracknell) 2; Mine Host 6.7 (Waterhouse) 3. Ten started. Half-neck; head, time, 1.12®. Pace Welter.— Edinburgh 7.11 (Moore) 1; Tamasha 9.0 (Doon) 2; Indarra 8.1 (McGrowdie) 3. Twelve started. Three-quarters of a length; head. Time, 1.39 i.
