RIFLE SHOOTING

N.I. CHAMPIONSHIPS AT PUTIKI BELT WON BY H. PEDERSEN. After a shoot-off with G, Bates (Patea) H. Pedersen, of Napier) won the North Island rifle championship hel<j on the Putiki rifle range, Wanganui, on Saturday. The fixture was held under the control of the Wanganui West-Coast Rifle Association. The B grade championship was won by K. Feast (Featherston) after a shoot-off with G. Bretherton (Wanganui). G. Bretherton was sucressful in winning the Putiki Aggregate. and F. C. White (Napier) won the J I rybank Aggregate. Wanganui No. 2 team, won the Teams Match, with Opaki runner-up. Good organisation enabled the meeting to be carried through with a minimum of delay. The trophies and prize money were presented to the winners at the end of the day by Mr. J. B. F.
