Eight Killed In Mexican Air Crash

Heed. 8.30 p.m. Mexico City, Dec. 27. A twin-engined passenger aircraft operated by Panini Airlines crashed near Leon Public Square at noon to-day, killing eight persons, seriously injuring ten, and destroying three houses. The aircraft, which was travelling from Durango to Mexico City, had just taken off from Leon airport when it apparently developed engine trouble. It was attempting to return to the airport when it crashed. Five of the eight dead were passengers, others being residents of the destroyed houses. Four of the injured were passengers.
