fhe organising secretary (Mrs. K. Gould Fennell) slated last night that the success of the first week’s sales was indeed a wonderful credit to the people of Ulis city. The support given by the Health Stamp Committee was the factor that made the sales of the first week such an outstanding success, while the staff of the Chief Post Office rendered every possible assistance to the committee. Mrs. Fennell specially mentioned the chief postmaster (Mr Stuckey) and his assistant (Mr. Catanach). It was hoped that the selling of the stamps would be completed by Christmas. This could be made possible by each hou'vhold purchasing Health Stamps to the value of 2s 6d. Mrs. Fennell stated that the response from the Wanganui schools and colleges was, to say the least, remarkable.
