PALESTINE ARABS CALL A STRIKE OF PROTEST
Recd. 11 p.m. London, Oct. 3. Palestine Arabs have called a oneday strike as an expression of protest against the proposal to partition Palestine. A spokesman said that he did not think that the strike would develop into anything serious, but would be
an indication of Arab unity. Strict precautions are being taken. Arab s today left their work and attended services at various mosques. Strikes in sympathy with the Palestine Arabs are being called in Syria and Lebanon.
