FRENCH COLLABORATORS EXECUTED
Reed. 1 a.m. Paris, Oct. 1 A firing squad executed four French collaborators, including Georges Delfanne, who invented the “bath torture.” in which victims were plunged into icy cold water until they lost consciousness. Pierre Charbonnier, who fainted in his cell when the firing squad arrived, was carried to the execution ground and shot sitting in a chair.
