Furnishings of Empire Wool for Royal Pair
(N.Z.P.A.—Special—Copyright.) Recd. 6-p.m. London, Oct. 1 Princess Elizabeth and Lieut. Philip Mountbatten will have in their homes furnishings made of Empire wool. The High Commissioners for Australia New Zealand and South Africa recently wrote the Princess on behalf of the International Wool Secretariat, enquiring whether a wedding present of dresses made of Empire wool might be sent her. She replied, through her secretary, that she would be very glad Indeed to accept a generous gift, and would prefer it in the form of household furnishings and materials, as provision already had been made for her drdss materials.
