INCREASE IN DEATHS, BUT BIRTHS DECREASE IN MARTON

(PCj Marton, Sept. 30 There were twice as many deaths this month in Marton as there weie for the same period last year, according to figures released by the postmaster, Mr. G. E. Mitchell, at the close of business today. Both births and marriages, however, showed a slight decrease. For the July-August-September period, there were 34 births this year as against 37 for the corresponding quarter in 1946 and nine deaths compared with four. There was an increase of four marriages, the figures being 15 for 1947 as against 11 last
