MAX SCHMELING WINS BOUT IN EFFORT TO STAGE COME-BACK
Frankfurt, Sept. 28 Former world heavyweight boxing champion, Max Schmeling, beat Werner Vollmer in the seventh round of a 10-round bout, when the referee stopped the fight. Vollmer had previously won >4 of his 15 professional bouts by knock outs. Sehmeling, who is attempting to stage a come-back, said: “I hope I can again go to the United States.”
