MORE MOSQUITOES FOR 75 SQUADRON ARRIVE
No. 75 R.N.Z.AF. Squadron based at Ohakea now has a strength of 17 Mosquitoes, two more machines arriving at the station on Thursday afternoon. Separated by approximately 10 minutes’ flying time the Mosquitoes cros'sed the Tasman from Bankstown airlleld, near Sydney, in little more than 4" hours. The pilots were FlHht-LieutenantS G. R. Simich and R. 77. 8011. D.F.C., and the navigators Flight-Lieutenants B. Cobcroft, and E. P. Williams. Several more Mosquitoes are at present waiting-at Bankstown for the final leg of their delivery flight. No de^il ure dates are known and they may arrive in New Zealand either during the week-end or early next week.
