WOMAN, HIT BY TAXI, DIES OF INJURIES
A.) Wellington, May 5. Struck by a taxi in Jackson Street, Petone, to-night, an elderly woman suffered .severe injuries from which 1 she died. She was Mrs. E. Ahern, I aged 83, of Hutt Park Road, Gracefield, Lower Hutt. She is believed to have stepped straight off the kerb into the path of the oncoming taxi. MAN DIES AFTER BEING HIT BY EXPRESS (P-A.)
