Mr. W. R. Stuckey, newly-appointed chief postmaster at Wanganui, and Mr. 11. F. Hall, representing the Wanganui Drapers’ Association, were welcomed to the executive of the Chamber of Commerce at the monthly meeting last night. The Minister of Transport, Mr. O'Brien, who entered the Wellington Public Hospital a fortnight ago for an operation for a severe bronchial complaint left the hospital yesterday. Since the operation his condition has shown rapid progressive improvement. The Minister, who will recuperate at his Ministerial residence in Wellington, hopes to return »to his official duties verv soon.
