WAIMARINO TEAMS BEAT WANGANUI IN BOWLING TOURNEY
Nine bowling teams, representing Taumarunui vOhakuno, Raetihi, Tathape and Ruapehu clubs visited Wanganui yesterday and played local team'.’.. It was the first time that. Waimarino had sent, bowlers to the city as guests of the Wanganui Dowling Centre and toe gathering was very successful. Waimarino won with an aggregate of 291 poitns, only six ahead of Wanganui’s 285. A series of games was played yesterday morning on the Wanganui Bowling Club’s greens, followed by a further series in the afternoon. About 40 visiting bowlers took part and the weather was ideal. The Wanganui Centre was repr?sented by bowlers from all clubs in the city and sucurbs.
