WANGANUI CREWS DID WELL IN H.B. ROWING REGATTA

(Special) Napier. March 16. Wanganui crews were prominent on Saturday in the first rowing regatta held on the Ngaruroro River at Clive for several years. Conditions were ideal. The' water was smooth and there were several close finishes. Crews from Wanganui, Wellington, Poverty Bay and Napier participated. Results. Youth fours—Napier 1, Aramoho 2, Union 3. One length; six lengths. Senior singles. V/. Taylor (Wellington) 1, D. N. Crabbe (Union) 2; D. McLeod (Star) 3. Two feet; four lengths. Crabbe was unlucky and hit the bank to lose several lengths.
