Mr. T- Souter, who was described by lhe president (Mr. A. H. Lockett) as one who had given sterling service to the club for many years and who had received very little commendation for it, was elected a life member of the Kaierau Rugby Football Club at. its annual meeting last night. “As player, secretary, treasurer, coach, and committeeman, he has been a staunch and untiring worker for the club,” said Mr. Lockett of Mr. Souter. "I don’t know of any man in the club who is more deserving of this honour.’’ he added. Replying, Mr- Soul er said that hi*, association with Kaierau dated back to 1903. and since 1911, when he played his last game of football, he had held practically every office in the club.
