PARISHIONERS OF ALL SAINTS WELCOME NEW MINISTER

The Rev. N. C. K. Titchener, who arrived recently to take charge of Al! Saints Church, Wanganui East, conducted his first services on Sunday. After Evensong, Mr. and Mrs. Titchener were welcomed by a large gathering of parishioners in the church hall.

The church-warden, Mr- A. W. Jones, said that since the departure of their former Minister, the Rev. J. C. A. Cole, for Wellington, the church had for some three months been without any Resident clergyman. He added that parishioners welcomed the arrival of Mr. Titchener, who came with high praise from his former position in the Nelson Diocese.

Mr. Jones assured him of the loyal support of all parishioners and trusted that he and Mrs. Titchener would have a happy time while at All Saints. Mrs- J. W. Sutcliff. for the Mothers’ Union, and Mr. E. Miller for parishioners, also extended a welcome. The Vicar of Christ Church parish, the Rev. J. R. L.
