Miss Glenn, cf Hawera, is visiting Wanganui. Miss J. Cameron, “Chester House,’’ Victoria Avenue, has returned after spending a few months with her brother, Mr. Cameron, of Lawrence, Otago, and also visited Wellington. In a recent issue of the “Plunket News” is a reminder to mothers to make generous quantities of rose hip syrup, and to preserve tomatoes, so lhat they may have a good supply of Vitamin C for their children tor the year. Both rose hip berries and tomatoes are rich in this Necessary vitamin, and the North Island reports a bumper crop of rose hips which provide an excellent substitute for orange juice.
