FRENCH DO NOT LIKE GERMAN EVECUTIVES IN CONTROL OF INDUSTRY
Recd. 8 p.m. London, Feb. 24 Official French quarters express surprise and concern at fresh reports from Berlin that the appointments ol German executives to control heavy industries in the British zone are expected to be announced in Berlin this week, says the “Telegraph’s” Paris correspondent. When it was suggested last week that such a st|p was expected, strong representations were made to the British Government by M. Wassigii, French Ambassador. Belgium and Luxemburg supported the French attitude. M. Massigli, according to diplomatic sources, was assured the transfer of the Ruhr’s key industries to the trusteeship of German nationals was not contemplated for the time being. Subsequent press assertions that such action was about to be announced caused disquiet.
