HIGHER PRICES SOUGHT. (P.A.) Hastings, Jan. 29. Efforts by the directorate of the New Zealand Fruitgrowers Federation to gain an increase in prices for pip fruits were unanimously endorsed by lhe Hawke's Bay Fruitgrowers’ Association at a meeting last night. A federation director. Mr. A. B. Congdon (Auckland) detailed the representations which it had been decided to make to the Stabilisation Commis.Mcn to have the ceiling price on apjik-L and pears raised to some level neater the real values, in order to give growers an increase for the 1947 season.
