DRUNKEN TRACTOR DRIVER ATTACKS HIS FATHER

Christchurch, Jan. 30 When Donald Clark Nielsen, tractor driver, aged 21, returned homo under the influence of liquor on J % v.ary 23, he came at his father with an open knife, and after his father had broken away from him accused chased him down the street. The father was rescued by a neighbour and taken to the police station This was revealed in th e Magistrate’s Court thi. s morning, when Nielsen appeared before Mr. Raymond Ferner, S.M., charged with assaulting David A. Nielsen. He pleaded guilty and was ordered to be detained in Waikeria Borstal Institution for two years.
