DEUY IN APPOINTING AUSTRALIA’S NEW GOVERNOR GENERAL
MATTER FOR KING PERSONALLY Recd. 6 p.m. London, Jan. 29 British political circles disclaim responsibility for delay in the appointment of a new Governor-General in Australia, says Reuter’s political correspondent. It is emphasised that appointment of a Dominion governor is a matter of the King’s personal choice and the United Kingdom Government has no constitutional right to advise him. His Majesty may but i - not bound to accept the advice oi the Prime Minister of the Dominion concerned.
