LIVESTOCK REPORTS BULLS STOCK SALE

Dalgety and Co., Ltd., (Inc. in England), report on the fortnightly sale at Bulls, held on Monday last, when a large offering of approximately 2500 sheep, mainly lambs, was ’submitted to a good attendance of local buyers. The annual draft of lambs a/c Messrs. Dalrymple Bros., and R. J. K. Grey, came forward in excellent order ana condition and commanded keen competition at prices fully firm on recent sale’s. Messrs. Dalrymple Bros., top pen of 409 shorn White Face wether lambs realised 25s Id. Mr. Grey’s pen 21s 9d, and a pen of Black Face 21s lOd. 'Mr. C. H. Thorby’s consignment of w.f. wether lambs realised 22s lid and ewe lambs 225. A line of ewe lambs a/c Flockhouse Station realised 235. The balance of the yarding a/c local settlers also met with a satisfactory sale. A medium yarding of store pigs met with a satisfactory sale, althougn values were not quite equal to those ruling before the new year. A small yarding of cattle made late rates. Quotations: Top White Face wether lambs, 22s to 25s Id; medium, 19s to 21s; light, from 10s; top Black Face lambs, to 235; ewe lambs, 20s to 235; fat lambs, 25s to 30s; medium 2-th ewes, 26s 9d; fat hoggets, 275; fattening ewes, 14s 6d; store cows, sgns. to £5 10s; 3 year-old Friesian bull, £9 10s; large store pigs, £2 16s to £3 6s; light porkers, £3 10s; slips, 9s to 30s. MARTON SALE The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Dist. Co, Ltd., report on the Marton sale. “The bulk of the entry comprised wether lambs, and although competition was not so keen, prices were firm. Top price for shorn w.f. wether lambs on account D. G. Franks macle 235, and ewe lambs on account of the same vendor 23s Bd. Prices were as follows:—Shorn w.f. wether lambs, 235; medium, 15s 3d to 15s lOd; ewe lambs, 23s 8d; shorn 2th wethers, 245/’
