FINE WEATHER AND GOOD GREENS
The 1946-47 bowling season was officially opened on Ihe various Wanganui greens on Saturday miller fine weather conditions and before large attendances. After the official welcome to members and visitors tribute was paid to deceased members, following which the season was declared open with due ceremony. Gaines played were on time-honoured lines, between teams representing presidents and vice-presidents. Greens were in good order and the indications are that this season will be another emphasising the growing popularity of bowls.
