FIGHTING IN PERSIA
Recd. 6 p.m. Teheran, Oct. 5. Persian Army headquarters announced the fall of Khazerun, after heavy lighting. It added that the Persian Army relief column, after 12 hours’ fighting, reached the garrison at Shirax, which was held by Qashqai tribesmen. All the army buildings and stores were destroyed before the garrison at Khazerun yielded. The tribesmen suffered heavy casualties before they took the town. Reuter’s correspondent says the report cabled on Friday that tribesmen had gained control of Kermanshah is incorrect.
