FIRM GETS DRYDOCK FOR AIDING BRITAIN AGAINST GRAF SPEE
Reed. 6 p.m. Bermuda, Oct. 5. Armando Reguscl, a Uruguayan ship repairer, is taking delivery In Bermuda of a drydock promised him by the British Admiralty as part of wartime bargaining arising from the destruction of the German pocket battleship, Grnf Spee.
Reguscl's firm, despite Nazi threats, refused to repair the Graf Spee after the River Plate Battle. Then, after the Nazis dynamited the ship, Regusci boarded it and removed valuable equipment and armament which he gave to the British.
