METHVEN TROTTING PROSPECTS

That trotting has a strong hold in the South Island is evident from the large fields engaged at the Methven Trotting Club’s meeting to-day. This is not surprising, for the stakes are on a generous scale and the Methuen Trotting Cup is worth £lOOO. Provision for divisions has been made in three of the events.
