AUSTRALIAN OPEN GOLF TITLES
N.S.W. AMATEUR CHAMPION RETAINS THE LEAD Reed. 10.45 p.m. Sydney, Oct. 4. The New South Wales amateur champion, K. Enderty, with 73 in the second round, to-day retained the lead in the Australian open golf championship at the Royal Sydney links. He is two strokes ahead of H. Pickworth and A. N. Waterson. Pickworth played brilliantly to-day, to record 69—one over the course record, and six under his first round score. K. Nagle, the New South Wales as-sistant-professional, also returned 69.
