FURTHER CLASSIC EVENTS TO BE DECIDED TO-DAY
Classic events set down for decision in Ihe Dominion to-day comprise the Hawke's Bay Guineas and the Dunedin Guineas, the J. B. Reid Gold Cup being associated witli the latter event, which is featured on the final day of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s spring programme. The Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club is reviving the Guineas, after a lapse of sixteen years, on the second day of the Hastings fixture. A further classic, in which there will be New Zealand interest, is the £5OOO A.J.C. Derby at Raudwiek. Additional race meetings in New Zealand are to be staged to-day at Otaki and Te Arolia, where form will be important in view of the forthcoming Auckland and Wellington (at Awapuni) fixtures.
