DOG DISORGANISES LONDON’S TUBE TRAIN SERVICES
(Special Correspondent—N.Z.P.A.) Recd. 6.45 p.m. London, Oct. 3. A dog—variously- described as a small brown, large white, and greyhound shaped—caused a disruption in the main northern line tube services by running six miles ahead of an underground train. The driver of the train first sighted the dog at London's Angel Station. He slowed the train, but the dog refused to leave the line, and loped ahead of the train through ten more stops until at Clapham Common it suddenly jumped to the platform and ran up the elevator to the steps. Estimates show that the dog and the train covered six miles in 55 minutes. All trains on tie line were half an hour late as a result.
