(0.C.) Taihape, Oct. 2. The annual match between teamr chosen by the president the captain was played last week-end and resulted in a tie, both teams scoring 7i games each. The president and captain will play off on handicap to see who shall hold the Glenn trophy. JOBLIN CUP. The following games have been played recently this competition: Jones defeated McGinniss, Sr; i y defeated Kingham, Belk Gj.cated Brophy and Anderson defeated B. E. Somerville. In the semi-final Jones will play Savery and Eelk will play Anderson. Both these games must be played this week-end. STRATSON CUP. In the second round of this competition C. Mortland defeated E. R. Sisson and T. Collerton defeated B. Collerton. The other two games in the second round McClure v. A. Mortland and Anderson v. Jones must be played this week-end. CHAMPIONSHIPS. No games have yet been played in the sen.or and intermediate championships. The first and second rounds must be played this week-end. In the junior championship D. H. Sisson defeated Hagan, F. Spooner defeated Mylie and R. J. Ryan defeated Kirkpatrick. The first round must be completed and the second round played this week-end. J. P. Mortland Memorial Cup. Members are reminded that this competition will be played on Saturday of next week. It is a foursome over 18 holes. It is hoped that every member will play in it. TAIHAPE LADIES’ GOLF CLUB. Taihape.
