MR. NASH REVIEWS SOME ASPECTS OF HIS MISSION OVERSEAS

ARRIVAL BACK IN NEW ZEALAND (P.A.) Wellington, July, 21. “And it is good to lie home again,” said the Minister of Finance, Mr. Nash, at. the conclusion of a Press conference, lasting one hour, this afternoon, following his return to New Zealand from his overseas mission. Mr. Nash and his party landed at. Ohakea yesterday afternoon, in on R.A.F: Transport Command Lancastrian. The machine was piloted by Squadron-Leader Bradshaw, and had an all-New Zealand crew. It was the same one which recently broke the record for the flight between Britain and New Zealand. INTRODUCTION] OF THE BUDGET Asked when the Budget would be introduced, Mr. Nash said that before he went away the date fixed for him to be ready was August 8, with a deadline of August 15, but he could not say whether that would work out now. He had most of the necessary material, and knew the framework and had an idea of what he ought to say. He would be discussiong the Budget with the Government within the next week, but could not give the exact date for the introduction of the Budget before conferring with Mr Fraser.
