KEITH STREET SCHOOL An impasse over the Keith St.ieet Schoo] lias developed between the Education Department and the Wanganui Education Board, and a further letter from the Minister of Education (Mr. Mason) is awaited before any decision is reached.
The latest exchange of correspondence between the Minister and the board chairman (Mr. E. F. Hemingway) was read to yesterday’s meeting.
ihe Minister wanted to know w'hat the board’s whole policy was, and until his next reply was received they could not do much, so the matter should be deferred for a month, said Mr. W. H. Brown, after a brief discussion at the board meeting. This w r as the course decided upon.
