WANGANUI UNION’S AREA FIELDS FOUR TEAMS
METROPOLITAN SIDES BEAT BOTH RANGITIKEI AND TAIHAPE
Two representative Rugby matches were played in Wanganui on Saturday. Wanganui Metropolitan A beat Taihape in an uninteresting encounter by 13 points to nil. Metropolitan J’> beat Rangitikei in a much brighter and more open match, in which both backs and forwards showed more enterprise, by 13 pointe to nine.
Both matches enabled the Wanganui Selection Committee to choose two teams to play Taranaki A and B fifteens on King’s Dav, the major match to be at Wanganui in the morning.
