AND LEICESTER DRAW Recd. 5.5 p.m. London, May 21. The cricket match between Leicester and India was drawn. Leicester, in their first innings, made 144, Amarnath taking four for 14. India, in their second innings, lost six for 107, and declared, Merchant being not out with 57. Sperry took three for 33. Leicester, in their second innings, lost one for 24. COUNTY CRICKET Sussex: First innings 224 (Griffith 87; Hollies took seven for 77) and second innings, none for 10. Warwick: First innings, 237 (Taylor 82, Dempster 40, Shortland 70; Comford took five for 19). It was a drawn game, the match being abandoned owing to rain. Northants: First innings, 164; second 50 (Jackson took five for 26 and Howorth four for 19) Worcester: First Innings, 132 (Partridge four for 21) and second, four for 83. Worcester won by six wickets. Middlesex: First innings, 209, and second, 175 (Knott, five for 66). Hampshire: First innings, 70 (Gray •even for 17) and second, 106 (Gray <four for 41: Young, four for 19). Middlesex won by an innings and 208 . uns.
