MAORI NURSE KILLED
MOTOK-CYCLE HITS STEER. (P.A.) Gisborne, April 22. Thrown from a motor-cycle in a collision with a steer on the Gisborne highway, a young Maori woman was severely injured on Saturday and succumbed later. The victim was Christina Mary Matenga, aged 19, a student nurse at Wairoa Hospital. She riding p Ilion on a motor-cycle driven by Basil Mildon. Wairoa, when the collision occurred.
