KAIERAU JUBILEE
“OLD TIMERS’” DANCE CONCLUSION OF CELEBRATIONS. The Kaierau Football Club's Golden Jubilee celebrations were concluded last night with a largely attended “Old Timers' ” dance which was held in the Gonville Town Hall. M. A. H. B. Lockett (president) thanked those present for their attendance and invited Mr. A. Takarangi, as Life Patron of the club, to formally cut the jubilee cake. The cake, which was of three storeys, had been made by the women of the various Lockett families in Wanganui and had been attractively iced by Mr. Gowan. Supper was served by the ladies’ committee and an enjoyable evening was spent in danc.ng. Mr. Butters was M.C.
